Broccoli Island

x3 Ffffunny island name.
8D YAY this was fun! And it only took me 3 hours, minus the 1 hour long doodle session wherein I was trying to think of an angle, whether to have characters in it, etc.

And... Yes. This means I started at almost exactly Midnight. |B Which is why I'm posting this at 4 am of all times.
ANYWAY, as usual the fantasy locations I imagine and draw are of course ENTIRELY fantasy. I don't think much in this image is possible at all.

The whole idea of this island is that nearly everything is covered in moss save for the other greens...except the tree bark is not spared. On the ground, it's either straight moss or ferns ferns FERNS!!! (By the way the ferns are um... entirely an imaginary species of plant because I don't think there's such thing as a fern with such a thick central stem and those weird....leaves.)
The only part that the ferns and moss -cannot- touch is the sandy sandy BEACH!
There's only one beach on this island, and your looking right at it. 8D The rest is entirely risen sea cliffs... which are -covered- in Moss all over, as you can see.
(And the reason why there's a beach at all is that it was formed into a small... very oddly shaped bay. You can't see the Spit but it's there, trust me. xD )

Now... you are looking at THE BROCCOLI! A section of cliff that was separated from the rest of the above-sea island over years of corrosion... you know how it goes. So it's just this little -thing- sticking up in the middle of the beach. There's a nice arch at the very base, and the trees are filled with berries... and it's totally uninhabited unlike the rest of the island.

It's not perfect, but I still enjoyed making it. 83 Especially since I know Serenity will recognize it. And probably go into a squee-attack. And I might have to hide from her until she calms down.

I still suck at water tho. 8/ I'm gonna have to practice more.

Yeah, after getting some sleep and looking at it a couple more times I noticed a couple missing factors to the image. I added some shadows on the beach, because it's stupid that the sun behind the Broccoli wouldn't be casting shadows behind it AND the dunes should have shadows too...
Also I added the spit, because you can't have a bay without a visible friggen spit. xD At least not that I know of. So I fixed that. But it's very far back still, so it's difficult to point out at first glance.
